Local Training (Sept-June)

Air Cadets at 222 Shuswap Squadron participate in a number of different training activities. Each cadet is placed in a Proficiency Level based on their Age, and are required to complete the mandatory and scheduled complementary training for their level. In addition to the required training cadets have the opportunity to participate in optional training such as Glider Familiarization Flights, Powered Aircraft Flights, Citizenship Tours, and extra-activities such as swim nights, hikes, indoor rock climbing and overnight trips.

Completion of Cadets Levels 3-5 are eligible for High School Credit in British Columbia.

Below are the list of different subjects cadets receive lessons in at each level. Each topic will have a number of lessons that are experiential, such as Aircrew Survival, and classroom work such as Theory of Flight:
